  19. Hi there all,
  20.     With all the talk of Lightwave 5 and open gl... I have been asking 
  21. around about open GL cards and have found out that even the new ones comming 
  22. out (like the imagine 128 series 2 w/ 8 megs) will not support open GL at 
  23. resolutions greater than 800x600. Does any one know why? I guess it would be 
  24. slower at a higher res but you should be able to at least leave it on since 
  25. it should help at least alittle. I thought it may be a ram problem but even 
  26. with 8 megs??? At 1280x1024x24bpp won't that eat up just over 4 megs of ram 
  27. for display, leaving about 4 megs for the z-buffer (that I think) Open Gl 
  28. uses? This is more curiousity than anything else...but do the really high end 
  29. boards run open gl at resoulutions greater than 800x600 (not that I could 
  30. ever buy one but I should hope so for the >$2000 price range :^).
